Q; What can I ride when I am 16 years old
A; A 50cc moped is the only size of machine with a maximum speed of 28mph

Q; Can all bikes be restricted to 33hp
A; Most machines can with the odd exception of some very large capacity bikes

Q; Can I ride any size of bike after sitting my full bike test
A; Only if you are over 21 years old and passed on a machine with 46bhp or more

Q; How can I train on a large capacity machine if I am only allowed to ride a 125cc as a learner
A; You may ride any size of bike provided you are over 21yrs old and under instruction from an approved DAS Instructor
with whom you are in radio contact at all times

Q; Can I sit my test on a 125cc and obtain a full licence
A; Yes but you will be restricted to a maximum of 33bhp for two years

Q; Can I ride a restricted bike before taking my full bike test
A; Only up to a 125cc registered machine can be ridden on a provisional licence

Q; After passing my Module 1 test when do I have to do Module 2
A; It is better to do it as soon as possible but anytime up until your Theory expires

Q; Can I sit the Module 1 and Module 2 on different machines
A; Only if they are of the same category. For example over 46bhp (A1) or under (A2)

Q; What happens if I fail my test, how long do I have to wait to do it again
A; 3 clear working days for Module 1 and 10 clear working days for Module 2

Q; Can I do Module 2 before Module 1
A; No. Module 1 has to be passed before you can take Module 2

Q; If I do my CBT at 16 do I have to do it again when I am 17 to ride a 125cc
A; No but if you prefer you may attend a short refresher to learn about gears and clutch

Q; How long does the CBT Certificate last
A; 2 Years from the date of issue

Q; How long does the CBT take
A: Normally one full day

Q; Do I have to buy bike gear before training starts
A; No but it is better to have some bike gear if you can. We only supply Helmet and gloves

Q: Does everyone have to sit a CBT before being allowed on the road
A; Yes, but a 49cc moped may be ridden on a full car licence if passed before February 2001

Q; What size of bike can I ride after my CBT is completed
A; If you are seventeen or more, anything up to a 125cc without exception, automatic or with gears
